Abrasion and tear resistant

Polyester DTY yarn has 10 times the abrasion resistance of cotton and 20 times that of wool.  When blended or combined with other materials, it can significantly improve the durability of the outer layer of outdoor jackets in extreme scenarios such as scraping against rocks and branches. For example, hard-shell outdoor jackets use high-density nylon fabric (200-300 threads/cm²) combined with a lamination process and narrow seam sealing, achieving a hydrostatic pressure of over 40 kPa (meeting the GB/T 32614—2023 standard), effectively resisting heavy rain and strong winds.

Flexibility and dynamic adaptation

When stretched by 3%-6%, nylon exhibits 100% elastic recovery, making it suitable for activities involving large body movements such as rock climbing and skiing, reducing feelings of restriction. Soft shell jackets often use a blend of nylon with cotton and wool (such as a cotton-to-nylon ratio of 60:40) to balance durability and breath ability, providing both protection and comfort.

Balancing lightweight design and strength

As a lightweight synthetic fiber, nylon reduces garment weight while maintaining strength. The outer layer of the hard shell jacket uses a four-way stretch woven nylon fabric, allowing the weight of a single garment to be controlled between 300-500g, meeting the demand for "lightweight protection.
